Superuser Access to Events
A superuser may access and edit any public event in the system. However, an admin (including the super-user) may only see those events created by the group to which they belong in the "Manage Events" page. To edit an event not within your group, take the following steps:
Bedework version 3.4.1.1
- Search for the event in the admin client and display it to determine which group created the event.
- Select the event from the search result to display its information including which group created the event.
- Select the "Edit" button to edit the event.
Previous versions
- Search for the event in the admin client and display it to determine which group created the event.
- Select "Choose/change group..." from the Main Menu in the admin client. As a superuser, you will see the listing of all groups.
- Select the group that created the event** (see notes below)
- Return to the Main Menu and select "Events: Edit / Delete"
- If the event is happening currently or in the future, it will be in the list. If it exists in the past, you must select the "Show: All" button at the top of the event list.
**Note: You can also reveal the "creator" in the public web client, making finding this much easier. For example, look at the "posted by:" output in a single event in http://events.rpi.edu/union (e.g. this event posted by 'entrepreneurship')
