new event with no duration need a default duration set

in personal client, the default duration should be 1 hour if not supplied when initializing a new event

it's unlikely we can correctly decide what the user wants for default duration, so this should be left alone and solved by allowing users to set a preference for default duration (and end date type: by duration or by date).
