Ensure processing of notifications is completed

For scheduling need to ensure that a crash/shutdown does not result in (partially) unsent invitations due to dropped notifications.
Essentially need to have a transactional JMS with commit - is that possible?
Note that reissuing the invitation should not be too much of a problem.
