Bedework and the Energy Policy Act of 2005

Bedework 3.3, the most recent release, already incorporates the new timezone information mandated by Energy Policy Act of 2005, which goes into effect on March 11, 2007. Bedework 3.3 processes all date/time values properly in accordance with this DST (Daylight Saving Time) change. Bedework 3.3.1, planned for spring 2007, will allow for incorporating future timezone changes directly via the administrative UI.

Earlier versions of Bedework will display event times correctly via the web interface, but events exported as an ics file will be off by hour for the affected period. Upgrading these systems to Bedework 3.3 will automatically correct all previously stored time/date values.

Bedework is maintained under a "BSD-style" open source license.
